Ilana blog. Ever since the age of six, when I landed in Israel and kissed the ground for the first time, something inside of me was stirred, and I have forever dreamt of making Aliyah since that moment. Over the years, my love of Israel, the Jewish people, Hebrew, and Israeli culture and lifestyle have only grown. I have always been very involved in advocating for Israel politically, socially and culturally and Israel has essentially, been the driving force behind the decisions I have made in life. Although it has always been heart-wrenching to think about leaving my family and friends, Aliyah and contributing my life to my people and my nation have and will always be everything to me. By making Aliyah, I feel like I will by carrying forth my grandmother's legacy who lost her entire family in the Holocaust.
